Hello again, it was lovely to speak to you all! (Wednesday 1st April)! You have all shown a fantastic commitment to supporting your child's learning and keeping them engaged and motivated during this difficult period - hats off to you!
Well done children for embracing this change and for working so positively with your parents!
I have a few ideas to make things a little easier from here on in, for you and your child:
1) I would politely suggest that all parents create a simple timetable for their child - this will help to give structure to those often unstructured days. This can easily be achieved by creating a free 30-day Twinkl parent account using the offer code CVDTWINKLHELPS. You will be able to access their Home Learning Hub which has a timetable of daily activities and resources, including video tutorials, readings and PowerPoints. If you have any difficulty downloading these free resources, first try ensuring that you are using Google Chrome as a browser rather than Internet Explorer.
2) Use the Learning Platform, found under the 'parent' tab on our school website. Here children can find a constantly updated list of useful websites and resources to support their learning - encourage your child to try a variety of these websites to ensure that they are fulfilling all areas of the curriculum.
3) If you are unable to print worksheets and resources then consider looking into purchasing workbooks. These can be purchased online from Waterstones, WHSmith and other retailers for a relatively low price. Collins, Letts, CGP and Scholastic have all published some really helpful workbooks, full of practise activities.
If you need to contact me to discuss anything further, I will be in school, all day, on Thursday 9th April to talk over the phone.
I have uploaded some Easter activities below. I hope you enjoy them and have a lovely Easter!
