R is for REST
Week 2 was all about how important rest is. We chose to participate in some quiet reading activities throughout the week, sharing stories as a class, reading independently and reading with our friends.
F is for FOOD
Week 1 of our challenge was all about healthy eating. We have been busy at home and at school.
Here we are eating spinach, watering our allotments, making wedges from sweet potatoes, cutting up fruit and preparing a prawn and courgette lemon pasta.
Thank you so much to everybody who entered our competition and helped to raise £48; a great start to our School Council fundraising!
A very well done to our winners: Thea (Julia Donaldson), Harriet (Kipper), Emily (Korky Paul) and Harrison (Krindlekrax).
Fantastic FRED challenge
Last week, the School Council met and discussed our ideas for next term. After lots of thinking and talking, we are planning some activities that encourage us to look after our mental health, following on from our visit from the NHS Fantastic FRED team. Each class will have a certificate and will be awarded the letters F, R, E and D when they have completed the challenges set.
School Council would love to involve everyone as much as possible and so have decided to run a competition to design the letter 'badges' for our certificates, ready to be displayed in each classroom.
We will keep you posted with winners, photos and activities!
